The merchant lsite chooses which payment methods it wants to accept.
Epassi payments are mainly made using the free mobile app.
You can get more payment methods enabled by contacting Epassi customer service at https://support.epassi.fi/fi/support/home or by calling 0200 69 000.
The merchant location search shows which payment method each service provider has chosen. Across all payment methods, the system always tells the service provider the benefit user's name, so their identity can be verified.
Payment methods on site:
Mobile payment: A payment made with the Epassi app, always done on site.
Text message; a backup payment method that works with any phone If the customer doesn't have a smartphone, they can also pay by text message to the number 050 902 3456. The customer sends the location's service code (a number sequence), a space, and the amount, e.g. "39097 9.80".
One-off payment; a charge made based on a phone number. The customer's identity must be verified. This payment method is not enabled by default.
QR code payment: This payment method lets the service provider integrate payments into a self-service checkout, and if desired, directly into their own point-of-sale system as well. Activating this payment method requires action from the service provider's point-of-sale system vendor.
Remote payment methods:
Remote payment in the app: A payment made with the Epassi app, which lets the service provider sell their products through remote sales.
Online payment; a payment made in Epassi's web service Typically used for event participation fees, club sports fees, and culture course fees. The service provider receives a message about the payment by email. This payment method is not enabled by default.
